Rock climbing has a problem.
Countless climbers are…
- Unable to find effective treatment for their injuries
- Struggling to regain full range of motion and strength
- Spending hundreds or thousands on generic treatment
- Stuck in a cycle of pain and underperformance
- Feeling like no one understands their injury

Why are traditional solutions failing climbers? Because…
Climbing injuries are constantly misunderstood.

What if there was a proven, modern solution—made specifically for climbers—for a fraction of the cost of traditional therapy?
I’m Dr. Jason Hooper, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS
I’ve noticed a trend in climbers that come to me for the first time: they’re frustrated by their injuries, disillusioned by their lack of progress, and tired of hearing “just stop climbing for a few weeks.” As a climber myself, I get it, and I’m here to help.
That’s why we created Recovery Blueprint. Now, there’s no reason to let injuries stop you from enjoying climbing… and reaching your potential!

How It Works
01

02
Pick your Blueprint
Choose between follow-along and self-paced programs, then select your injury. See the Blueprints other climbers have selected with similar symptoms using our free injury assessment tool (for climbing-related finger injuries).
03
Recover
Your return to form starts now! The mobile app will guide you through the entire process with simple instructions, video demonstrations, and built-in progress tracking. It will even tell you when it’s okay to start climbing again (it’s probably sooner than you think!).

Two Approaches to Choose From
Follow-Along Programs
For those who want to follow our recommended recovery timeline as closely as possible.
-
All you have to do is check off the assigned tasks each day. Most activities can be performed any time of day, though some early recovery stages may require a morning-evening split (these exercises will be brief).
Some schedule modification is still possible within the app. You can move a workout to a different day at any time with a few taps, but large scale changes to the schedule (e.g., moving all workouts ahead one week or skipping ahead multiple weeks) will not be feasible. If you want that level of customization, a self-paced program would be a better fit.
-
Everything you need to go from early recovery to end-stage strengthening will be provided in the app. This includes any necessary educational documents, resources, exercise how-tos, etc., along with the pre-scheduled workouts.
-
You can activate your program on a different day from when you purchase it if you’d like.
The duration of the program will be disclosed up front on the product page for each program (typically 8-12 weeks depending on injury and severity).
Self-Paced Programs
For those who prefer a more DIY approach with the ability to fully customize your schedule.
-
The app puts every one of our custom-made recovery workouts, from Phase 0 to end-stage strengthening, at your fingertips, so you can schedule things however you’d like.
-
Within the app you’ll get all the same materials as the follow-along programs (including injury-specific recovery workouts and educational documents) in addition to a standard recovery timeline.
The standard timeline shows our entire suggested recovery schedule for your injury, which you can use to guide your own programming choices if you’d like (recommended!).
-
You can activate your program on a different day from when you purchase it if you’d like.
Once activated, you’ll have full access for as long as you keep the subscription active. If you’d like to stop, you can do so at any time by logging into your account on a web browser or contacting us directly.

FAQs
-
Recovery Blueprints are primarily categorized by injury type, severity (grade), and location (if applicable). Before starting any new recovery program you should get clearance from a qualified medical professional.
To see the Blueprints other climbers have selected with similar symptoms, click here to use our free injury assessment tool (currently available for rock climbing related finger injuries). Please note this assessment is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If you need a diagnosis from a professional, you can click here to schedule an online diagnosis appointment with Dr. Jason Hooper PT, DPT, OCS, SCS.
-
The length of follow-along programs is stated on its product page, which can be found by following the link in the drop-down menu.
The self-paced programs continue indefinitely until you decide to stop your subscription.
Exact recovery times will vary depending on your injury and rate of progress. All programs are at least one month, with most in the two to three month range.
The follow-along programs include a structured return-to-climbing plan to help you gradually get back to the sport, ensuring you’re ready and minimizing the risk of re-injury.
-
Our programs are designed to accommodate virtually any schedule. Most workouts can be performed any time of day and are not excessively time consuming.
If for some reason you need to move a workout to a different day, you’re free to do so in the app (instructions provided!).
With follow-along programs, you will not be able to make major changes to the schedule or rearrange the entire program. If you need this level of customization, consider a self-paced program!
-
If your injury happened weeks ago and you're already well into the recovery process, it can be okay to skip ahead so the exercise programming (including exercise selection, intensity, and volume) more closely aligns with your current level of recovery.
If your injury has been bothering you for weeks (or months) and has worsened or plateaued, then you should NOT skip ahead. The progressive tissue loading protocols (which can start out quite light or may even involve a deload phase) are there for a very specific reason. In many cases, they are ESSENTIAL for your recovery. Trust the process! If you’re doing a follow-along program and you decide that skipping ahead is right for you, contact us at info@hoopersbeta.com and let us know how many weeks to move your program ahead. Please note that in doing so you acknowledge that you are taking things into your own hands and as such we cannot guarantee the outcome of the program. Additionally, the number of subscription payments that have been scheduled for your program will not change.
