Why Climbers Should Be Careful with Rehab Advice on the Internet
Hooper's Beta Ep. 25
IMPORTANT:
In this video we go directly at one of the main reasons why we started this channel: to deliver quality and accurate science about climbing, training, prevention, and physical therapy to the absolute best of our ability while trying to debunk some of the bad that's out there.
This channel is about trying to provide advice that is sound and has research to back it. We definitely don't know everything, and I take pride in saying that I am always learning new things. When we don’t know something, we look, and research it. And if there isn’t a great answer, we will let you know. We do our best to bring you quality content.
This video brings forth some of the bad that’s out there. We don’t want to start a smear campaign, that is not our goal. We are not negative people, so let’s be clear, that is not the intent. Rather, the purpose is to point out that sometimes things on the internet (even the #1 searched item) are being done based on anecdotal evidence or on “expert opinion” and may do more harm than good.
If you have questions, please let us know and we will do our best to answer them! Thanks as always for watching and for the support!
Disclaimer:
As always, exercises are to be performed assuming your own risk and should not be done if you feel you are at risk for injury. See a medical professional if you have concerns before starting new exercises.
